Russell and Bode Unmasked: Dr. Russell We are excited to announce that the craniofacial pain and dental sleep medicine part of our practice is now operating two full days per week. Russell and Bode Unmasked: Dr. Bode I am proud of our team for safely and successfully providing patient care throughout the pandemic, maintaining a positive, cheerful workplace despite the uncertain world around us, and staying true to our values and vision. After we were forced to shut down operations this spring, we collectively made a plan to safely re-open. We executed the plan while adapting on the fly. I am grateful to our patients for not only trusting us as provide...rs, but trusting us to keep everyone safe in our office. 2020 will be defined for me by resilience and gratitude. Russell and Bode Unmasked: Joey As a registered dental hygienist, Joey loves providing holistic care to her patients. She also encourages overall health to promote the well-being of the whole body. Joey strives to provide the best dental care possible for her patients. Comfort, patient satisfaction, and patient education are her primary concerns. She is relationship-oriented and values creating connections with her patients on a personal level. She has a passion for caring f...or the less-privileged. She has served at the Seattle-King County free clinic as well as Pierce County’s Homeless Connect. Joey will begin serving the local community here in Olympia through the Olympia Union Gospel Mission. In her free-time Joey enjoys spending time with her husband. They have ten nieces and nephews and are closely involved in each of their lives. She loves to travel, see new places, meet new people, and spend her time active in the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, with Mt. Rainier being her favorite hiking destination. Joey also enjoys kayaking, golfing, fishing, and reading. In addition to chair side assisting, I also manage the supply inventory. Russell and Bode Unmasked: Alyssa My name is Alyssa and I am the Insurance and Financial Coordinator at Russell and Bode Family Dentistry. I have been in the dental field for almost 20 years now. I started out as an assistant almost 15 years ago with Dr. Bode and after a few years moved to the front desk. I enjoy working hard for our patients with their insurance companies to receive payments for the procedures they need. In my off time I enjoy spending time with my husband..., kids, grandkids, and closest friends. We love having everyone get together to hang out and catch up. We enjoy camping in the summer and the fall is all about the Seahawks! My husband and I have been married for 16 years and have 4 wonderful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. Russell and Bode Unmasked: Walter In my close to 20 years as a hygienist I’ve been blessed to be here at Russell and Bode for more than 16 years of that time. During that time I’ve met so many of our patients, people I don’t just consider patients but people I’ve been able to forge real friendships with, many of whom I have seen since I first came to Olympia in 2004.... I’ve had the privilege of seeing many of you marry, have children, and raise a family. Many kids that started with me before they were school age, and now come home from college during the holidays to see us. Others are done with collegeworking, having moved on, growing in life living elsewhere, but fortunately I get to hear of accomplishments and milestones through parents and family members. Many of you that know me know I love the outdoors and love sharing my experiences and finding out about yours. I also love talking food because I love to cook. Talking family, yours and mine never escape the conversation. The interests and subject matters I get to talk about with people is vast and often deep. It’s what truly makes the day interesting. The reason I started this bio out mentioning being blessed to work here is because of the people! The people I care for, and the people I work with. Dr. Russell and Dr. Bode have truly put together a great group of people which is directly the reason we provide such great dentistry.
